Rockhounding Field Trips
The Club organizes outings and networks with other affiliates CFMC clubs. Some members are exceptionally active, you can participate on some of these unofficial hunts if you demonstrate a good sense of ethics, friendship and willingness to reciprocate and contribute.
In the past year some of our members have searched great sites in AZ, NV and CA.
We have collected: Agates, Jasper, Fluorite, Crysocolla, Cuprite, Malachite, Petrified Wood, Fossils, Obsidian, Lepidulite, Tourmaline, Turquoise, Rhodonite, Rose, Lavender Quartz, Common Opals, Demorturite, and fantastic Crystals.
This Website will be eventually updated to reflect this information.

CCRMC members enjoy getting out to the deserts, beaches, and other beautiful SoCal locations to hunt for mineral specimens, lapidary materials, fossils or crystals. Some of our trips involve just CCRMC members while others are planned jointly with other clubs. We also take full advantage of field trips held in conjunction with local rock and mineral club shows.
A number of rock clubs in the Los Angeles area are collaborating on a joint field trip schedule where each event is open to members of any club. The goal is to have one or two good trips each month and share the load of planning and coordinating each event.
The group communicates using an email mailing list called LA-Rocks. Membership is open to anyone. To join the discussions, simply enter your email address below.
