Typical meetings start with a business session, followed
by a coffee/social break a raffle, and then our evening's speaker. Some of our
recent topics have included:
- Discovering the Mojave Desert
- Intarsia, Minerals and rocks identificacion methods.
- Phenomenal Gems.
- Rocks Macro Photography, Central Coast and Clear Creek
- Club Photographic Lookback
Twice each year we have a silent auction of minerals and hobby-related equipment.
Also, each summer we host a picnic for all members.
Meetings are held in the Multi-Purpose Room in the Veterans Building at 4117 Overland Avenue. Entrance is at the rear, off the park.
The Club maintains an extensive library of books and videotapes which are available for loan to members at the lapidary shop.
