Cuttlebone Casting with Brad Smith
One of the oldest techniques for casting metal was to carve an impression and pour metal into it.
Mold carving is still done today with cuttlebone, the hard internal structure of the cuttlefish.
The technique is easy to learn and produces jewelry with an elegant texture of meandering ridges and valleys.
Join us to learn this method and put it to use in making your own earrings.
