Leslie Aine McKeown will demonstrate how to make Intarsia, the technique of marrying several pieces of stone together to create a new cabochon. Leslie will be live from her studio in Prescott, AZ. Leslie: “It is an old technique, tracing its origin to the Renaissance in Italy. Today, this technique has been embraced by many lapidary artists. My approach differs from the traditional Intarsia techniques. In this lecture and demo, I will discuss the history of this beautiful technique and show how I create my version of married stone.”
