Join us in the Scout House in front of our lapidary shop on August 12 at 7:30 PM for Vice President Steve Dover’s presentation of Death Valley National Monument/Park (plus its gems and minerals).

Steve has spent over 30 years exploring the back-country of Death Valley by Jeep and by foot. In this 100-slide presentation, you will visit and learn interesting facts about 40 of his favorite locations. You will see waterfalls in the desert, marble-lined canyons, old ghost towns, mines and cabins, beautiful overlooks, spring-fed lakes and hot springs, 10,000-foot peaks with Bristlecone pines, geological wonders, giant sand dunes, desert wildlife, and much more.

We are delighted that Steve will bring his extensive collection of Wingate/Death Valley Agate, Ballarat Marble, and Death Valley Onyx, which he has collected over the last 40 years, for you to examine.
