CCRMC 2025 Fiesta of Gems Workshop
Learn how to craft your own metal adornments using tools and materials that are simple to work with at home. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore techniques such as cutting metal with a jeweler’s saw, piercing metal to create interior designs, sanding and cleaning your pieces, applying a protective polish or sealer. You’ll be working with copper, but the skills you gain can easily be applied to brass and sterling silver.. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a solid understanding of the essential tools and materials needed to set up your own workspace, empowering you to continue your metalworking journey independently.

- What to bring: If you have them, please bring your prescription eyeglasses and/or safety glasses, and an apron if you prefer your clothing not to get dirty. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Long hair should be tied back away from your face. Refrain from wearing long dangling jewelry and loose long sleeves.
