Workshop – Beginning Wire Wrapping 10/11/25 11am-3pm at Culver City Scout House

Learn the fundamentals of wire wrapping in this hands-on beginner workshop using copper wire and a 27 mm wide x 36 mm long cabochon. You’ll discover essential techniques for creating secure and decorative wraps while enhancing the natural beauty of your stone. This is a great introduction for anyone new to jewelry making or looking to refine their skills. What to Bring:

  • A 27 mm x 36 mm (Approximately 1” x 1 ½”) cabochon which can be made at the CCRMC Lapidary Shop during Lapidary Beginning 101 with Jette Sorensen, at your favorite rock shop, on Etsy, firemountaingems.com, or Amazon.
  • A flat-nose and round-nose pliers, and a flush cutter. If you don’t have tools, no worries — a limited number will be available to borrow during the class.

Safety Notes: Bring safety glasses (if you wear regular glasses, those will be sufficient).

Workshop size is limited, so we recommend early registration.
